After a very shaky start, Tom Glavine was downright unhittable against his former team. Glavine retired his last 17 batters during his first post-New York appearance against the Mets and led the Atlanta Braves to another home win, 6-1 in the opener of a day-night doubleheader Tuesday. The 42-year-old left-hander allowed only three hits and [...]

Add to myYahoo! They just announced during the game that the X-Rays on Jeter's hand came back negative, he's listed as day-to-day. The way this season has gone, I thought for sure his hand was broken.

Nice to see Tom Glavine beat his old team (that sounds weird) and get today's double-header started off right. Hopefully the rain will hold off tonight and we can get the second game in without any trouble.
In game two we get to see how Jorge Campillo handles starting in the major leagues.
His last major league start was on August 2nd, 2005 against the Tigers in which he lasted one inning before leaving with an injured elbow. He's been pretty good so far this year, and we certainly don't need any more injuries, so here's to hoping Jorge stays healthy and pitches productively.

Add to myYahoo!A Dodger has in fact gone to the disabled list today, but it's Gary Bennett, according to Inside the Dodgers. Danny Ardoin, whose throw freakily injured Andy LaRoche in Spring Training, will replace Bennett. In what amounts to a procedural move, Jason Schmidt shifts over to the 60-day disabled list to make room on the 40-man roster for Ardoin.
