Add to myYahoo! For the past 48 hours, baseball fans everywhere have wondered if San Francisco Giants ace pitcher Tim Lincecum was trying to pull a fast one on his fans in a video that popped up on the Internet.
Now, the star of that video -- a man who goes by the name of Luis -- has come forward in another video to set the record straight:
video details and more
Luis says he's a cab driver and -- like he pleaded in his first video (which went viral after it appeared on the Yahoo! Big League Stew sports blog) -- he just wants one million dollars to "get started on the right feet." In exchange for the dough, he's ready to show Timmy a good time in his home country of Brazil.
Some people beg for money on street corners. Others in front of grocery stores or other public places. Luis, however, has taken his solicitation to the web. He obviously thinks the real Lincecum might actually give him a million dollars because he's a rich baseball player and he's got several million just laying around. (Psst. Hey Luis, here's an idea. Get off your lazy ass and get a job, ya mooch.)
After seeing the first video, which was grainy and filmed in bad lighting, many viewers thought the doppelganger was actually Lincecum pulling off a prank (or maybe even fooling around with friends after smoking some pot). The audio track on the first clip was pretty lousy which made it even more questionable. See for yourself:
video details and more
The accent that Luis the Cab Driver uses in the videos is clearly more realistic and believable in the second video.
So, while the mystery of whether this guy is Lincecum or not is pretty much solved -- he's not Timmy -- one question remains: Why isn't this guy marketing himself already? If Antoine Dodson can do it, so can Luis.

Add to myYahoo!Cody Ross and Pat Burrell each hit two-run homers and the San Francisco Giants rallied for a dramatic 8-7 win over a Los Angeles Dodgers split squad Saturday in front of a record crowd of 12,087 fans at Scottsdale Stadium.
Just as they did late last summer and fall when they put together a late surge to win the NL West, storm through the playoffs and capture the World Series title, San Francisco pulled a rabbit out of its hat when the team pushed across two runs with two out in the ninth inning to improve to a major league-best 13-4 this spring.
With the majority of the record crowd still on hand and chanting "Beat LA," Thomas Neal scored the tying run on a wild pitch and rookie Gary Brown ended the game with an RBI single.
"There is still a hunger. You can tell," Giants closer Brian Wilson said. "The guys come in here fired up. We have to work harder. We can't stop working. We saw last year that the time and effort does pay off."
Wilson, who turns 29 on Wednesday, pitched a scoreless sixth inning. The right-hander has worked three innings over three appearances after being slowed by a stiff back early in camp.
Jonathan Sanchez was originally scheduled to start for San Francisco, but manager Bruce Bochy decided to have the left-hander avoid the Dodgers by pitching him against minor leaguers instead.
Fellow southpaw Dan Runzler filled in admirably, allowing an earned runs off and five hits in three innings.

Add to myYahoo!Reserve infielder Kris Negron is making a name for himself this spring. Negron hit a two-run single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning Saturday, helping the Cincinnati Reds overcome four homers by two Chicago Cubs’ players for a 9-8 victory Saturday in a game between split-squads.
