DeRosa activated; Belt sent down again

DeRosa's back...but for how long?Rookie first baseman Brandon Belt's yo-yo odyssey made another revolution Thursday when the San Francisco Giants announced that they would be demoting him back to Triple-A Fresno to make room for utility man Mark DeRosa.

DeRosa, who has missed most of this season due to a torn tendon in his wrist, is being activated from the 60-day DL.

The Giants aren't done yet, either. In order to make room for DeRosa on the 40-man roster, the Giants will have to make a corresponding roster move. Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News speculated on Twitter that it may be outfielder Pat Burrell (on the 15-day DL himself) who might be reinstated then released.
