The Ball Had Eyes

World Series game 2. I watched intensely glued to my TV set. Not like game 1, I was hoping for a closer score. I got that, but not in favor of Detroit.

Through 6 innings of play it was 0-0. Then a run in the 7th, followed by another in the eighth put it away for the Giants (2-0). Congratulations.

If there was one weakness I'd say it was in the Tiger bull pen. Although I must say that Doug Fister had a remarkable recovery that allowed him to stay in the game after getting hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of Blanco. But where's the relief? Drew Smyly had control problems early on and Valverde, Tiger closer, is having some problems of his own. And on and on the story goes. And in game 3 the Tigers will have to face Vogelsong whose been red hot in post season play. And we all know what he did to the St. Louis Cardinals.

But losing by two runs isn't all that bad, if only they got some significant hits where it counted the most.

If there is any such thing as luck the Giants have it. They can do nothing wrong. And the ball had eyes. It went every where the Giants wanted it to go. Do you agree?
