Here's an update to this morning's post via Bryan Hoch:
"I'm aware of an investigation, and I plan on cooperating," Rodriguez said at George M. Steinbrenner Field after the Yankees' workout.I'm sure A-Rod didn't do anything wrong here, I'm just kind of annoyed that this has to be a news story, in other words, a distraction, just as the games are about to begin. But if he was able to get over last spring's catastrophe, this will be a cake walk.
Rodriguez declined to comment when asked about the nature of his relationship with Galea, who faces charges in Canada of conspiring to smuggle human growth hormone and the drug Actovegin into the United States, as well as conspiracy to smuggle prohibited goods into Canada.
"I can't really get into that," Rodriguez said. "I know you [reporters] have to ask those questions, but I have to speak to those [agents] first. You [reporters] will know pretty much all at the same time."
Rodriguez said that he did not know when the meeting with the agents would take place.
"Not sure," he said. "I'm just kind of waiting for instructions."
