Gwinnett Braves 5, Indianapolis Indians 7
Randall Delgado made his first start of the year for Gwinnett, and took the loss, allowing 6 earned runs in 5 innings, giving up home runs to top Pirates prospects Sterling Marte and Tony Sanchez. Cole McCurry tossed 2 shutout innings, giving him 5 shutout innings in 2 appearances with Gwinnett, after allowing 2 earned runs in 5.2 innings earlier in the season for Norfolk, accounting for his 1.69 ERA overall in the International League. Jose Constanza extended is hitting streak to 18 games with a 2 hit night, and he's gone 34-85, a cool .400 average, during the streak. Ernesto Mejia had his third straight multi-hit game, making him 7-12 with 3 doubles, 2 homers, 2 RBI, and 2 walks in those games, and he's hitting .375 with a 1.094 OPS in his last 10 games. Veteran third baseman Terry Tiffee, who played 97 games in the Majors with the Twins and Dodgers from 2004 to 2008 and is now in his eighth AAA season, had a pair of hits, making him 3-9 in his last 2 games. Mississippi Braves 2, Chattanooga Lookouts 3, 10 innings

In his last start, Zeke Spruill allowed 9 earned runs in just 3.1 innings, but he had a great start today, allowing 2 earned runs over 7 innings of work. Ryan Bucther tossed a scoreless inning, and in 23.1 innings over 20 appearances since the start of May, he's allowed just 2 earned runs, 11 hits, 11 walks, and has struck out 28.

Not much went right for the Hillcats today, as their pitching staff allowed 14 earned runs and their offense earned just 1 hit and 3 walks on the day. Aaron Northcraft allowed 8 earned runs over 5.1 innings, and the 22 year old had only allowed 11 earned runs in 45 innings over his last 7 starts. Matt Weaver had the lone hit for the Hillcats, breaking a 2-15 skid over his last 6 games.
Dimasther Delgado will face the P-Nats tomorrow.
Rome Braves 2, Asheville Tourists 5
Peter Moylan's second rehab appearance with Rome, and his sixth overall rehab appearance, was a rough one, as the Aussie sidearmer allowed 3 earned runs in an inning of work. Fabian Williamson started the game, his first start of the year, and he did a great job, allowing just 1 earned run over 5 innings. The 23 year old lefty has a 2.65 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP in 17 innings over 6 appearances. William Beckwith had a pair of hits, a pair of RBI, and a stolen base, making him and Edward Salcedo the only Braves farmhands with double digits in both homers and steals. Kyle Kubitza snapped a 0-14 drought over his last 4 games with a single today.

Danville Braves 2, Pulaski Mariners 1
Mauricio Cabrera picked up his first win of the year, allowing just 1 earned run over 5 innings, striking out 6. The 18 year old Dominican righty has a 2.22 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP, and 29 strikeouts in 28.1 innings this season. Nathan Hyatt picked up his third save of the year with 2 scoreless innings, and the 13th rounder has allowed 2 earned runs in 10 innings, striking out 14, over 7 appearances. Jose Peraza had a nice follow up to his 3 hit debut, driving in a pair of runs with a double. Over his last 4 games, Edison Sanchez has gone 7-16 with a double, a triple and 2 RBI. Blake Brown had a double today, but the 5th rounder had struggled in his debut season, hitting just .185 with a .611 OPS, and 36 strikeouts in 81 at bats. Trenton Moses had a pair of hits, making him 6-13 with a double and 3 RBI over his last 6 games.
Eduardo Castillo will take the mound on Tuesday as the D-Braves begin a series against the Burlington Royals.
GCL Braves 2, GCL Pirates 6
Luis Merejo had only allowed 6 earned runs in 24 innings over his first 5 appearances this season, but the 17 year old Dominican lefty allowed 6 runs, 5 earned, in just 4.2 innings today. He still managed to strike out 6, giving him 35 strikeouts in 28.2 innings. After tossing 2.1 scoreless innings today, Shae Simmons now has 12 strikeouts in 11.1 scoreless innings over 6 appearances this season. Donovan Drake also hasn't allowed an earned run this year, striking out 5 in 5.1 innings over 4 appearances. Fernelys Sanchez reached base twice today, and over his last 3 games he's gone 3-8 with a RBI and a walk. Jackson Laughman had a 3 hit day, making him 4-8 in his last 2 games. Tyler Tewell had a 2 hit day to extend his hitting streak to 6 games, and during that span the 14th rounder has gone 7-18 with a double and 5 RBI.
DSL Braves 5, DSL Tigers 2
Over his last 5 games, 17 year old Panamanian Johan Camargo is 5-15 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI, and 3 walks. Rafael Rodriguez picked up his sixth save of the year, and the 19 year old Venezuelan righty hasn't allowed an earned run in 11 innings over 10 appearances this year, though he has given up 10 hits and 8 walks while only striking out 7.
