Braves option Francoeur to Double-A Mississippi (AP)

Slumping Atlanta Braves outfielder Jeff Francoeur has been sent to the minors to work on his hitting. Braves spokesman Brad Hainje said Friday that Francoeur was optioned to Double-A Mississippi.
