Mark Bowman, who's been good at clarifying rumors lately, has this latest clarification:
Contrary to a FOXSports.com report, the Braves aren't among the teams interested in Adam Dunn. The Web site reported Wednesday that the Braves, Mariners and Nationals are among the teams showing interest in the free-agent outfielder.
The Braves are seeking a right-handed (Dunn bats from the left side) outfielder that they can place between Chipper Jones (a switch hitter) and Brian McCann (a left-handed hitter) in the middle of their lineup.
I've been saying this every time Adam Dunn is brough up on this board. I do like his power numbers and on-base numbers, but the Braves have said repeatedly that they want a right-handed power bat.
