Journeyman Einar Diaz signed a minor league contract Wednesday with the Pittsburgh Pirates, who need a backup to starting catcher Ronny Paulino. Diaz, who turns 34 next week, has played in 673 career games with the Indians, Rangers, Expos, Cardinals and Dodgers, hitting a career-high .281 with 119 games with Cleveland in 1999.Read the full [...]
